Kids Get that Education!!!
Kids Get that Education!!!
What a speech! When I heard about this speech that was going to be given today over the Labor Day holiday I was elated and quite excited. I was really proud that our President was taking time out of his schedule to honor International Literacy Day,Tuesday, September 8th 2009 today with a speech given across the internet to all schools that elected to live stream the speech.
The organization UNESCO’s has literacy programs aim to create a literate world and promote literacy for all. They have been providing programs for world literacy since 1946. Read the UN’s Secretary General’s article about this special day HERE.
I among many bloggers, have decided to participate in this world endeavor by blogging and passing the word forward to the world and hope the you my reader will do the same in some sort of way yourself.
Today at 12:00 Noon EST President Obama at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virgina gave a pep talk to students about their education. This was monumental for me and follows suit to what our President wants for our country to be number one in the world in education.
It was a great speech his ability to be plain and speak to students was not only a boost for the betterment of our country. I viewed this not only as a speech for students grades K-12 but for students across all borders nationally, internationally, and for higher education.
I’m not going to address those schools that decided not to air this but I am here to tell you that students and parents if they choose will listen to this video via the net outside of school. The message will be heard!
Listen to the video and if you are a parent, guardian or know of a student that can benefit from this speech give them the opportunity to listen to it. It really will make a difference even if just one student gets the message they in their own way will pass if forward to fellow friends and classmates. I urge you to feel free and spread the word, pass is forward for the betterment of our country.
Kids Get that Education, Knowledge is power and powerful!!!
Push on and hard and let nothing stop you, nothing! There are no failures in reaching your goals only goals that have not been met yet!

Hello,
Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day!

I’m amazed that a blog with this positive of a spin about the Admiinstration is still out there. Aren’t you at least disappointed in some things the man has done? As a conservative, I’ve disapproved of just about everything. But my observation was that Obama is angering some of his biggest supporters with his positions on the war in Afghanistan, his waffling stance on the public health insurance option, etc.
Anyway – I don’t think his Adminstration has been the cheery, happy, bring-us-all-together experience it was sold to us as. He’s catered to the left way more than the right and it is hurting him in the polls.

Thank you for your comment Stephen. I know it is hard to believe that there is anything positive out there in the world at all but yes there are still some. If you have checked out other posts about President Barack on my blog I am realistic and yes there are some things that I am not pleased about. I consider giving people a chance and while I am learning about the ins and out of our government and open to change some good and some not so good I consider that with all this country has gone through since the inception of the Constitution it could be worse. If we continue to be disapproving on a constant basis we have left ourselves to remain the same hole without an opportunity to rise above and find better solutions in the marketplace of ideas where all comments, suggestions, positive and negative are heard on equal ground and are discussed for the betterment of all Americans. I do believe that keeping an open mind whether we agree or agree to disagree is the key to helping us make this country better. No it won’t happen quickly it took a long time to get this way. I hope that you are involved in someway to help with Organizing for America with a local chapter in your area we need people such as yourself to get those ideas rolling and express some of your thoughts to those that want to hear therm. You may just surprise yourself they are willing to hear from us. Organizing For America
